#PhoTheWin

Pho is Life, PhoRealz!

Today was a good day. Even though life at the moment is a bit stressful and cold nothing could be better than having a hot bowl of pho. Pho is a Vietnamese rice noodle soup. Pho is served with beef broth that's poured over the rice noodle soup. The soup contains beef, pork, tendons, tripe, any other meat that suits your liking although these are the traditional meat in pho. Pho is served with many herbs as well, herbs such as, mint, basil, onions, and cilantro. The bowl of soup is also served with many sauces and spices that adds extra flavor to the soup. Such sauces and spices like hoisin sauce, fish sauce, sriracha, lime, and chili peppers.

Pho by far has got to be one of my favorite type of soup. It's a type of soup that's very fulfilling and really hit the spot especially in this cool weather. With the proper ingredients and right amount of toppings to the bowl of pho, there's no questioning at how bad my day must've been it would brighten up as soon as the first sip of the soup. The richness and hot soup of pho is the only thing I look forward to when I'm feeling cold or depressed. Pho is pretty much all I crave for during the cold winter or cold days in general.

I like my bowl of pho hot and spicy. I also like my bowl of pho with lots of herbs with a little lime juice over it. Then again I can't forget about the hoisin sauce and sriracha in which the hoisin sauce adds sweetness to the soup and the sriracha sauce which makes the soup spicy. The herbs however is what's most noticeable in my soup when it comes to my bowl of pho. I make my pho much different than the traditional plain pho by adding more spices to enrich the flavor of the soup.

Textbooks should be free!

I believe textbooks should be free. Students already pay enough for the classes they need for their degree and tuition for college, they shouldn't have to pay extra for books. Textbooks should be provided and included for the students taking that class instead of having to rent or purchase the textbooks themselves. It doesn't really make sense to me even when a lot of people tell me that there's a price to pay at everything although I know that textbooks sure isn't one of them. I find it unfair having to buy or rent textbooks that are used only for a particular class and later on in life would most likely not be used again.

Textbooks are expensive. Purchasing textbooks for a class just seems odd to me. I never knew how pricey textbooks were until college. This makes me thought back about high school of how textbooks were given to us to use without charge. Textbooks in high school were reused over and over again until someone torn it apart, only then would that person have to buy a new one to replace it. If only this rule applied to college, college students would be more stress-free and focus more on their degree rather than worrying more about being in debt after college.

I don't get why textbooks are still so expensive even when it's just rental or used. I feel as though college are making more profit selling and renting textbooks than anything else. Book rentals itself is profitable because the school reuse and let students rent the same textbook again for almost as much as the original price of the book. I say it pretty ridiculous no matter how someone looks at it. Although I'm not going to lie it's a pretty genius idea because college students only need the textbook to pass the class and won't bother to touch it afterwards. Also like many college students, they want to save as much money yet finding the most convenient way to get by with college.

College is truly a hard and difficult time in a person's life and that's why I believe that textbook should be free. Another reason why I believe textbooks should be free is because students already paid for the class they're attending, so the school should provide the materials needed for the students in that class. It'll only make sense if this was the case because you took the class to get the degree you want and learn from the instructor. No one needs to buy textbooks when the instructor hardly uses it or is teaching straight from the textbook. Anyone could learn the materials themselves that way. These are the reasons why I believe textbooks should be free.

How Thanksgiving Came To Be

Thanksgiving as how we all know now is particularly a four day weekend where everyone either watches football, have a family reunion, spend time playing games together, and have a large feast with the family. The holiday Thanksgiving like any other holiday, all have a history behind it for it to be significant and celebrated. However the holiday wasn't first started as a celebration, but a gathering which the Pilgrims migrated to Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. The Mayflower carried 102 Pilgrims although only 56 of the immigrants survived the harsh winter which later was aided by 91 Native Americans in 1621. That same year, the Pilgrims harvested plenty of crops which they celebrated with the Native Americans that lasted three days for a "thanksgiving".

The celebration of Thanksgiving wasn't celebrated again until June 29, 1976 in Charleston, Massachusetts for the community's good fortune. The Indians however wasn't included in the festival because of the recent victory the colonist had with the Native Americans. All thirteen colonies didn't get to celebrated thanksgiving until October 1777, which was held for their victorious battle against British at Saratoga. Then in 1789, President George Washington made Thanksgiving a National Holiday and President Abraham Lincoln made it to be the last Thursday of November in 1863. Even though Thanksgiving was proclaimed as a National Holiday in 1789 Congress didn't approve of itit until 1941.

Although Thanksgiving was celebrated for many reasons such as reunion, significant day, successful harvest year, and most importantly God. On a clear note, the Pilgrims wasn't the only one that influenced thanksgiving, but also the Puritans. While the Pilgrims celebrate Thanksgiving for a successful year of harvest the Puritans on the other hand thank God and feast. As of today, Thanksgiving is known throughout the Unites States as well as all over the world. Thanksgiving is a holiday of rejoice and by being thankful for all that's happened that year.

Special Someone!

If someone were to ever ask me what motivates and encourages me to keep pushing on with life. I would respond back by saying the best time and feeling of one's life is that special someone. Many things happen for a reason and I believe that by having that special someone around is better than one could ever imagine. There is so much more to a person than you think. People have feelings and they need a person that's understandable to hear them out. How do I know this? I've recently discovered it myself personally, and I'm confident enough to say that most would also agree that everyone wants to live a life full of joy and happiness.

The sight of seeing that special someone with so much energy, love, care, and joy is breathtaking. I don't think there's words that will be able to describe the moments spent with that person. All I ever will know is that time flies by quick every time I'm around the person and time being long whenever I'm not. It pains me for not being able to see this person more often. However, nothing will and can change the kind of person I so adore because this special person is easily to get along with and will always have a positive attitude in any situation. Even when times are hard and doubtful, this person gives you hope and comfort letting you know everything will be alright.

I am blessed to have someone special in my life. This person makes me look forward the next day and wonder what it may hold. A person's future is what supposed to take them far, but my special someone have more dreams and plans than any other person I've ever met. My special someone is willing to put others before herself in hope that they'll have a brighter future even if she gained nothing in return. Family is important to my special someone, however, they're not the only ones but everyone else as well and doing them good is forever significant.

Someone special is someone you'll want to keep and make sure doesn't leave or be hurt. Someone special is someone who will always know and figure out what's wrong with the other person. A special person is one who doesn't try being liked by many, but has the quality already. That person is worth more than anything else and means the world to you. So, if by chance you do ever find your special someone, make sure you treat that person right.
